Road to Success
B&S was founded in 1984 by two captive agents, Frank Burch and Wayne Stepniak. In 1996, Stepniak retired, leaving the company in the hands of Burch. In 2002, Burch decided it was time for B&S to break away from the captive market and become an independent agency, allowing for more carrier options to better serve their clients’ needs. Becoming an independent agency proved to be a good move on Burch’s part, as the company has grown considerably since. Today, B&S has eight licensed producers: Frank Burch, Darin Goodwin, Michael Meyer, Michele Hopson, Katie Sanders, Caitlin McChristian, Tamara Mueller, and Samantha Wommack Fitzgerald. Each of these agents share the common goal to make sure every customer’s insurance needs are met with the very best protection.
The all-star staff also share the same mindset when it comes to keeping their agency’s relationship with its clients strong. Burch says that he and his employees are able to make fun of themselves daily: “We like to entertain people, but when it comes to insurance we’re all business. We feel brand recognition and customer service set us apart from the rest.”
