Headquartered in Centralia, MO, the Angell & Co. agency features a rich history in the insurance industry with roots dating back to the 1930s. Over the years, there have been a handful of independent agents to run the company. Current agent/owner, Jed Angell, bought the business in 1986 and continues to serve their many customers.

Forced to close its doors during The Great Depression, the beautiful, historic Bank of Centralia building at 101 S Allen St. then sat empty. The agency’s predecessors moved into the bank office and lobby and became home to the original insurance agency nearly 90 years ago. Since then, several generations of successful owners have provided quality insurance products and service to families and businesses in Mid-Missouri.
In the fall of 2015, Angell & Co. opened a second location in Ashland, MO in the old “Coats building,” preserving the pride this business takes in calling historic landmarks “home.” Shortly after opening its doors at its newest location, Angell & Co. was presented with an award from the City of Ashland as the 2016 Business of the Year, highlighting the agency’s merit as a successful, trustworthy insurance partner.
