CFM Appoints New Board Member

Hoffman Family_Fall 15.jpegIn a special meeting held on November 17, 2016, the policyholders of Farmers Mutual Insurance Company of Grundy County voted to approve the merger into CFM Insurance, Inc., effective January 1, 2017. Prior to the meeting, the CFM Board of Directors appointed former Grundy County board member, Eric Hoffman, of Trenton, MO, to the CFM Board.

Growing up in a farming family, Hoffman has acquired a great knowledge of agriculture, specifically in CFM’s expanding market of northern Missouri. With a degree in Agriculture from the University of Missouri, he now manages his family’s farm, expanding into production agriculture, selling milk, beef, and both conventional and organic grain crops with wife, Tara, and their three young children.

Hoffman has high hopes for the start of his new journey, serving on CFM’s Board of Directors:

“I am excited and honored to be a part of this great mutual insurance company that is CFM Insurance, Inc. The dedication to good business practices that has enabled this company to support their insureds in times of need is something I vow to uphold. It is no mystery why this company has continuously been successful over the years.”

CFM President/CEO, Jacob Black, reciprocates Hoffman’s enthusiasm, adding:

“We are excited to add Eric Hoffman to our Board of Directors. Eric is a well-respected and hardworking agri-businessman involved in many organizations in our state. He will bring a strong representation and knowledge of rural Missouri and the agriculture industry to our boardroom. In addition to being a voice for our policyholders in northern Missouri, he will be our youngest director, helping in the efforts to attract and retain our next generation of policyholders.”
