Meet the friendly faces behind Baldwin Insurance Agency in Kearney, MO: Steve and Hannah Baldwin (owners), Brittany Kennedy, Trevor Baldwin, Bree Moran, and Harrison Baldwin (little insurance agent in training).
The folks at Baldwin Insurance are more than just insurance agents, they are family… literally! Steve and Hannah Baldwin, owners of Baldwin Insurance Agency, work alongside daughter, Brittany, and nephew, Trevor, to provide one-of-a-kind customer service and insurance expertise to the Kearney area. With the help of newly licensed agent, Bree Moran, and little Harrison (Steve and Hannah’s youngest child), this team has become a go-to insurance agency for much of the Northern Kansas City area.
Baldwin’s success is a long-time coming. Steve started his agency back in May of 1999 because, in his words, “entrepreneurship simply runs in his blood.”
I was raised by a family of entrepreneurs. My grandfather was a successful farmer, my grandmother owned a beauty shop here in Kearney for around 50 years, and my dad owned several service stations with multiple amenities. Owning my own business has been a natural progression as a way of life. It has also been very educational and rewarding.
Another huge part of the agency’s success is the relaxed and welcoming environment clients feel when they walk through the door. At the end of the day, Steve says it’s all about making people feel at home. A huge contributor to that standard is little Harrison Baldwin, Steve and Hannah’s two-year-old son. As you can see, Harrison’s day is usually pretty jam-packed, but he always manages to work some “Elmo Time” into his schedule.
Though he’s faced his fair share of ups and downs in his career as an insurance agent and small business owner, with the help of his family and loyal customers, there’s no place else Steve would rather be.
What I enjoy about being an independent agent and small business owner is the challenges, continuing education, level of detail required, and helping people. Most of all, I enjoy the time it allows me to be with my family when everything just falls into place.
