Road to Success

It all started in January 2001 when three agencies, Maggard Mateja & Thompson, Randy Russell, and Kendrick-Kerber, joined as one. Together, they formed the largest independent insurance agency in Pettis and Johnson Counties, Missouri. With more than 50 years of experience in the insurance industry at that time, IBG had built a superteam of experienced professionals with a wealth of knowledge to help better serve clients across the area.

In May 2015, Atra Insurance combined its operations with IBG, growing the agency to over 30 licensed agents and support staff. With offices in Sedalia, Warrensburg, and Lee’s Summit, the agency was able to expand their business across Central Missouri and offer even better insurance protection for thousands more individuals, families, and businesses.

By August 2015, IBG joined AssuredPartners, a global leader in the retail insurance brokerage industry, allowing the capability to bring greater resources to their clients in the form of markets and expertise. This partnership further catapulted the company to success by allowing them to offer clients the same level of customer service they’d come to expect, but backed by the support and capabilities of one of the world’s leading insurance brokers and risk advisers.

Rewarding Careers

The insurance industry may not be the easiest career path, but it sure is rewarding. Just ask IBG agents, Tammy Boulais and Jennifer Hughes:

tammy.jpg“The most rewarding part of being an insurance agent is being able to help people with all of their insurance needs, whether it’s saving them money on their premiums, helping with a claim, or answering billing concerns. It’s nice to know you are able to help people with their greatest assets – their home and vehicles. I love meeting and working with new customers on a daily basis or keeping in touch with the prior clients who I’ve grown a real relationship with.” ~ Tammy Boulais

Jennifer.jpg “For me, being an insurance agent is more than just writing an insurance policy. It’s about building a relationship with customers based on trust, integrity, and personal service. I enjoy providing a service that helps others protect their prized possessions and creating lasting friendships.” ~ Jennifer Hughes

Why Long-Term Thinking Matters More Than Ever in Insurance

Why Long-Term Thinking Matters More Than Ever in Insurance

That pace has found its way into almost every corner of life — including insurance. But insurance was never meant to work overnight. At its core, insurance exists to protect people over time.
